What is Correlation is statistics?
According to Wikipedia :
In statistics, dependence refers to any statistical relationship
between two random variables or two sets of data.
Correlation refers to any of a broad class of statistical
relationships involving dependence.
An example given is the following:
The Japanese eat very little fat, drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than the Americans.
The French eat excessive amounts of fat, drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than the Americans.
CONCLUSION: Eating fat doesn't kill you. Drinking wine doesn't kill you. Speaking English is the killer!
And remember Drinking beer, makes you rich!!
